Project Finance Manager

Description
A growing renewable energy company is seeking to expand its Structured Finance team. The Finance Manager will assist in structuring and negotiating transactions and will be primarily responsible for managing and executing tax equity and debt financings. This individual will manage day-to-day relationships with investors, lenders, and third-party providers, collaborate closely with development, engineering, and construction teams, and oversee analysts to ensure new financings align with business needs and existing financings are successfully deployed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, fluency in financial modeling, and clear communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all deliverables related to the ongoing deployment of existing tax equity and debt funds.

• Coordinate diligence and manage daily interactions with tax equity investors and lenders.

• Assist in negotiation and lead financial modeling and diligence efforts for new tax equity and debt funds.

• Build, maintain, and enhance project-finance and corporate financial models.

• Manage, mentor, and develop analysts.

• Assist in evaluating strategic business opportunities.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, energy, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in project finance within a financial institution, advisory firm, or developer, specifically involving renewable energy projects; distributed generation solar experience preferred.

• Strong fluency in financial modeling and familiarity with tax equity and debt structures.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

• Excellent analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

• Experience working cross-functionally and with external partners.
