Our client, a leading renewable energy developer and operator, is seeking an Energy Analyst to join its Asset Management team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional eager to work at the intersection of operations, data, and project performance in a fast-growing renewable energy portfolio.
The Energy Analyst supports both the technical and compliance aspects of asset management—helping ensure the daily operation, reporting accuracy, and overall performance of a distributed solar portfolio. This is not a financial planning or FP&A role, but it does require strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Operations & Maintenance Support
Monitor daily plant production and identify real-time performance issues
Coordinate with contractors to ensure maintenance and operational compliance
Portfolio & Account Management
Assist with monthly invoicing, billing, and revenue collection across portfolios
Support the financial administration of operating projects in collaboration with FP&A and project finance teams
Manage compliance and reporting for community solar programs, including subscriber and utility coordination
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare monthly and annual operational reports
Track and analyze project performance vs. expectations
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality reporting standards
Compliance & Workflow Management
Track compliance with key project agreements, including PPAs and O&M contracts
Maintain databases for operations, insurance, contract administration, and regulatory requirements
Develop tools and processes to improve data analysis, project tracking, and documentation efficiency
Third-Party Relationship Support
Coordinate with O&M providers, monitoring vendors, and REC partners
Manage communication and deliverables to ensure contractual and reporting compliance
Bachelor’s degree (STEM, business, or related field)
Strong analytical, computational, and Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
Passion for renewable energy and interest in long-term career growth in the sector
