Energy Analyst, Renewable Assets - Hybrid

New York Competitive Compensation + Bonus Permanent

Overview

Our client, a leading renewable energy developer and operator, is seeking an Energy Analyst to join its Asset Management team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional eager to work at the intersection of operations, data, and project performance in a fast-growing renewable energy portfolio.

The Energy Analyst supports both the technical and compliance aspects of asset management—helping ensure the daily operation, reporting accuracy, and overall performance of a distributed solar portfolio. This is not a financial planning or FP&A role, but it does require strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance Support

  • Monitor daily plant production and identify real-time performance issues

  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure maintenance and operational compliance

Portfolio & Account Management

  • Assist with monthly invoicing, billing, and revenue collection across portfolios

  • Support the financial administration of operating projects in collaboration with FP&A and project finance teams

  • Manage compliance and reporting for community solar programs, including subscriber and utility coordination

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare monthly and annual operational reports

  • Track and analyze project performance vs. expectations

  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality reporting standards

Compliance & Workflow Management

  • Track compliance with key project agreements, including PPAs and O&M contracts

  • Maintain databases for operations, insurance, contract administration, and regulatory requirements

  • Develop tools and processes to improve data analysis, project tracking, and documentation efficiency

Third-Party Relationship Support

  • Coordinate with O&M providers, monitoring vendors, and REC partners

  • Manage communication and deliverables to ensure contractual and reporting compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM, business, or related field)

  • Strong analytical, computational, and Excel skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Passion for renewable energy and interest in long-term career growth in the sector

Culture & Benefits

This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on building and operating renewable energy assets across North America. The organization promotes professional growth, open communication, and an inclusive, forward-thinking culture.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus eligibility, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, and retirement plan participation.
