Financial Reporting Accountant

Our client is an energy transition company focused on developing, constructing, and owning large scale renewable generation, storage, and data center infrastructure assets. The organization is backed by a major global investment firm.

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to support financial reporting and general ledger accounting, including consolidations and eliminations, within a multiple entity organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, including preparation of GAAP basis financial statements
• Support the consolidations process, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and tie outs across a complex legal entity structure
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entry preparation and review
• Assist in financial statement audit preparation and manage audit deliverables
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on technical accounting issues and special projects
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

• Two plus years of professional experience in accounting, experience in the renewable energy industry preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA license preferred
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience with accounting ERP platforms, NetSuite preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25%
