Project Manager – Electrical Transmission & Substation
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan Area - multiple locations

We’re partnering with a well-established infrastructure contractor to hire a Project Manager focused on delivering complex Electrical Transmission and Substation construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires deep experience in field-based project execution, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.

This position plays a critical role in managing pre-construction planning through final delivery. It involves leading internal teams and subcontractors, coordinating directly with client representatives, and ensuring that all technical, safety, and regulatory standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of project delivery including constructability assessments, estimating, scheduling, and execution

  • Coordinate daily with client teams, project staff, superintendents, and senior leadership to align on scope, expectations, and progress

  • Conduct site walks and drawing reviews to validate scope and identify risks or improvement opportunities

  • Guide permitting and environmental compliance efforts, ensuring readiness before mobilization

  • Collaborate on the development of project safety and environmental plans

  • Prepare estimates, budgets, construction schedules, and workforce planning documents

  • Review subcontractor proposals and support contracting decisions

  • Provide leadership from project kickoff through closeout and final cost tracking

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of project management experience in high-voltage utility or heavy civil infrastructure

  • Strong background in estimating, scheduling (Microsoft Project or Primavera), and resource planning

  • Familiarity with substation and underground utility construction preferred

  • Comfortable working with construction contracts, subcontracts, and MSAs

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and construction cost tracking software

  • Clear communicator with a professional, solutions-driven mindset
