We're partnering with a leading utility infrastructure firm to find an experienced Underground Transmission (UGT) Manager. This is a senior-level opportunity to lead complex high-voltage underground transmission projects from concept to execution, driving operational excellence, safety, and client satisfaction across every phase.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the estimating and proposal process for HV underground transmission projects using tools like HeavyBid.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to evaluate risks, constructability, and alignment of project scope.

• Oversee pre-bid activities such as site visits, RFI management, and subcontractor/vendor coordination.

• Support business development through client engagement, proposal strategy, and opportunity tracking.

• Deliver detailed bid documentation including schedules, resource plans, and cash flow projections.

• Transition awarded projects to execution teams and provide strategic oversight through completion.

• Guide and mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and technical delivery.

• Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and underground transmission technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical), Construction Management, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in HV underground transmission. Experience in adjacent utility infrastructure (e.g., overhead transmission, distribution) may be considered.

• Expertise in estimating, project management, and full lifecycle execution of utility-scale infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and working knowledge of MS Office.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with project scheduling and controls (Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.

• Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors.
