About the Opportunity

A leading North American renewable energy platform is seeking a Senior Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Originator to help drive commercial growth across a rapidly expanding portfolio of RNG and RNG-adjacent assets.

This is a high-impact, front-office role responsible for monetizing production across voluntary and compliance markets in North America and select international jurisdictions. The position offers meaningful autonomy, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape commercial strategy in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

We are looking for a market-facing dealmaker who understands the complexity of environmental attribute markets and thrives in structured transaction environments.

What You’ll Do

Origination & Execution

• Originate and execute spot and structured RNG transactions across North American voluntary markets and global compliance frameworks (including Europe, UK, and Canada).
• Develop innovative commercial structures to optimize value across environmental attributes and physical gas streams.

Market Strategy & Optimization

• Collaborate with internal commercial, regulatory, and operations teams to optimize portfolio optionality.
• Maintain deep knowledge of RIN markets, voluntary market pricing, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Analyze federal and state incentive programs and tax legislation impacting compliance markets and transaction economics.

Commercial Leadership

• Leverage and expand a network of buyers, traders, utilities, and corporate offtakers.
• Structure creative transactions that balance risk, duration, and pricing dynamics.
• Present market insights and commercial strategies to internal leadership and external counterparties.

Technical & Regulatory Fluency

• Demonstrate working knowledge of physical natural gas logistics and chain-of-custody requirements.
• Navigate environmental attribute (EA) platforms and certification regimes (e.g., ISCC).
• Maintain a forward-looking view on global RNG pricing trends and regulatory developments.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of energy origination, trading, or structured commodity marketing experience.
• Demonstrated success executing RNG or renewable fuel transactions.

Market Expertise

• Strong understanding of North American RNG voluntary and compliance markets.
• Knowledge of RIN pricing dynamics and regulatory drivers.
• Familiarity with international compliance markets is highly preferred.

Commercial Profile

• Proven network of RNG buyers and environmental attribute counterparties.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in growth-stage environments.
• Strong independent judgment and decision-making capability.
• Ability to balance creativity with disciplined risk assessment.
